In the Spring of 2023, Coolican & Company designed a series of merchandising tables and mannequin stands for Holt Renfrew’s flagship store in Toronto. 

Each table has a hefty top and two monolithic base components. When oriented side-by-side these components call to mind glacial forms, fissures or the slits in an evening gown. The table evokes the grandeur of Holt Renfrew the institution while echoing the elegance and femininity of the luxury women’s apparel. 

The components of this table are versatile. Base components can be arranged in different orienations, right-side-up, upside-down, or a combination of both, yielding countless variations. 

Mannequin stands were developed using a similar design language to the table bases. Both the tables and Mannequin stands were made of solid white ash which was selected for colour and grain pattern. The mannequin stands were capped with brushed stainless steel to match other store fixtures.
